You must keep your body in good shape. Taking care of your teeth is one way. There are several ways to keep your teeth healthy. Food sometimes gets stuck between your teeth. Brushing them can make them shine! Of course you have to use toothpaste when brushing your teeth. Fluoride is always in your toothpaste. Fluoride hardens tooth enamel. It is also a mineral. Flossing can also get the food out of your teeth. Flossing is a dental string that goes between your teeth to get the food out.

Sometimes teeth get a sticky coating film called dental plaque. Living inside dental plaque is bacteria. The plaque can break down starches and sugars. The dental plaque creates an acid that forms a hole, causing a cavity. If you have damaged gums, you probably have tartar. Sometimes dental plaque gets so bad that it hardens into tartar. To keep this from happening, brush your teeth at least two to three times a day. Last but not least, to keep your teeth healthy, going to the dentist will certainly help. The dentist examines your teeth to make sure they are healthy as a horse. See, going to the dentist isn't that bad. Following these directions will help you and your teeth smile.
