Symbiosis is when animals work together to survive. For example, a clownfish and a sea anemone might work together. The clownfish attracts predators and the sea anemone returns the favor by protecting the clownfish. The clownfish also may chase other fish away, too. Another kind of symbiosis is when one thing gets all the water and nutrients and the host is drained. That kind of symbiosis is with a parasite. An example of a parasite is mistletoe. Mistletoe can attach itself to trees and suck the nutrients out of it.
