Indian men at the missions had different types of jobs. They cared for the mission animals such as horses and sheep. The Indian men also built furniture and tools. These mission workers were also farmers. They dug ditches, plowed the fields, and planted and harvested crops. Other jobs were to make candles, shoes, and saddles from leather. One of their other jobs was to make the adobe bricks. Whew! They had a lot of things to do at the missions.
