With current electricity you have to have a full loop or circle. The loop or circle has to be a conductor so the static electricity could pass throught the circle. With current electricity for the loop it could be a parrell curcuit or a circle curcuit. With a simple curcuit if one of the light bulbs go out none of the other light bulbs in the curcuit will be working. But, with a parrel curcuit if one of the light bulbs go out in the curcuit the other remaining light bulbs will be able to work because they will have another way to travel. With current electricity it recycles its own energy. The energy will keep flowing around and around until something in the curcuit is open.
