Adaptation is what helps animals survive in a certain place. Ptarmigans have brown and gray feathers in the summer and white feathers in the winter to help them camouflage. Poisonous frogs have flashy, bold colors that warn other animals not to eat them. Animals have special teeth that help them eat their food. That is an adaptation that every animal has. All those are examples of adaptation. Adaptation happens by chance not by choice.
