Prerequisite: One of the following: Completion of Computer Science Honors with a grade of “A-” or higher, An “A” in Geometry or a score of proficient or advanced on the math subtest of the CST in Geometry or higher.


AP Computer Science is a substantial course for students interested in disciplines requiring computer knowledge. Students will design and implement computer based solutions to problems in several application areas. Algorithms and data structures will be learned and developed to solve problems.


Students will be able to code fluently in the Java language. They will be able to read and understand a large program and describe the design and development of that program.


Students will prepare for the May Advanced Placement Computer Science Exam.
