5608/5609 ADVANCED VIDEO PRODUCTION A/B (ROP) (APACHE NEWS) (DAY CLASS)

Prerequisite: Teacher recommendation, interview/ audition, Beginning Video Production, OR Contemporary Journalism with a “B” or better

This course provides advanced students with the opportunity to produce a weekly school newscast, Apache News. Students in technical and on-air crews try out for positions during the previous spring semesters. Students gain experience working as a team creating a news show with deadlines and an audience of over 3,800.

Those students who enroll in Advanced Video Production II (Apache News) may concurrently take the Advanced Video Production class, which meets on Tuesdays, and Thursdays after school.

Class Hours: Tuesday and Thursday 3:00-5:30 pm

Prerequisite: Teacher recommendation, Interview/,audition, Beginning Video, Intermediate Video Production, OR Contemporary Journalism with “B” or better.

This class is an addendum to Advanced Video Production I Students will use this time to continue production for Apache News as well as programming for the District Channel. It is strongly advised that students take both I and II.
